MINEIRÃO: Belo Horizonte’s LARGEST FOOTBALL STADIUM BEATS WITH AN ARGETINE HEART

The brilliant left-fielder Juan Pablo Sorín says goodbye to the Sport this November 4th. The celebration unites Football, culture and solidarity.

It’s time to relive the dream. A dream so amazing that it won’t leave our hearts and minds for a while. The match is set. But when Sorín enters the Field his fans can’t expect an ordinary game. And his farewell won’t be any different: football, art, party and generosity. This November 4th, at 6PM, the doors of the Mineirão Stadium in Belo Horizonte, open for an all time classic.

Sorín’s friendly match begins with his last team Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. Expect to see a selection of stars and talented players: world renowned footballers, artists and celebrities have already rsvp’d for this grand event. If the ball has brought this esteemed idol all over the world – now it’s time that he thanks everyone back with this spectacle of a celebration. The ticket corresponds to non-perishable food, that will be donated to impoverished entities chosen by Sorín.

The Schedule of this celebration-match will have a pre-game between artists VS celebrities of two 20-minute half’s. There will also be a super concert from Skank and to close the night with all its glory, Soríns final match between Cruzeiro X Argentinos Juniors, two of Soríns most loved teams. This match will be transmitted, live, through Globo, for Minas Gerais, Sport TV for all of Brazil and other countries via PFC International.

About Juan Pablo Sorín

Born Maio 5th 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Juan Pablo Sorín, is known as Juampi in his hometown. He started playing football at age six, when we was invited to play for his first club. Later on, he had his Pro debut with Argentinos Juniors. Sorín won the World Cup Sub-20 with the Argentine National Team in Qatar. And then he went on to Italy, where he played for Juventus. After six months away, he returned to Argentina to play for River Plate. Shortly after he went to Cruzeiro and from there he spent sometime in Europe playing for top teams such as Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain, Villareal, amongst others, now in July of 2009 he returned to Cruzeiro for his last stint as a Professional football player.

A big time rock n’ roll fan, Sorín was a DJ for Argentine Radio Station FM La Tribu. He went to college for journalism and till this day he flirts with Literature studies. Along with his wife Sol Cáceres, he was responsible for compiling the book “Great Chicos”, a book with stories from Eduardo Galeano, Abelardo Castillo, Fito Paez and from Juampi himself. The profit made helped rebuild two schools in Santiago Del Estero. In Spain, he published short stories in Media Punta magazine.
